About

I specialize in creating minimalistic yet vibrant content that captures the essence of a place. With a keen eye for detail, I carefully curate each capture to showcase the unique features of hotels and restaurants.Through my simple yet thought-through approach, I aim to provide a visual experience that beautifully represents the atmosphere and ambiance of the places I visit.

Since embarking on my content creation journey in June 2023, I have witnessed a remarkable growth in my engagement and reach.

After successful collaborations in countries like Portugal, Thailand, Italy, and Montenegro, I am excited to continue partnering with hotels and agencies around the world to showcase my skills and drive visibility to their brands.

I fell in love with Montenegro. After spending one month exploring the country, I already dream of revisiting and discovering more of its natural beauty and wonders. But I couldn't just keep all the places I found for myself, so...

Sharing my Montenegro expenses and how I did it πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

As much as you can cut on restaurants and activities, the biggest expense is often accommodation.
That's only one of the reasons why ✨ Worldpackers ✨ is such a great way to travel.

HOW?
By volunteering for 20h a week at a digital nomad coliving space, managing their social media, I had accommodation and a weekly allowance for groceries.
πŸ’° In 30 days, I spent an extra 82€ on food, 100€ on car rental, 48€ on fuel, and 40€ on misc (boat tour, parking, NP and ATM fees, tips, pharmacy), for a total of 270€.

WHY Worldpackers?
In 3 words - it's easy, safe, and fun!
I had the best time meeting people from all over the world 🌏, exploring a new country that quickly became one of my favourite places ever, while significantly cutting down on expenses.

Why you should visit Montenegro πŸ’Œ

It's no secret by now that I am in love with this country 🀭
So here are 5 reasons why you should add it to your list:
🏝️ Stunning coastline: the Adriatic Sea beaches are a dream, with crystal-clear waters and beautiful cliffs in the background.
⛰️ Mountain views: from the Durmitor to the Prokletije National Park, there are endless options for jaw-dropping mountain scenery and hiking trails.
🏘️ Historic old towns: wandering through Kotor's charming streets or Budva's ancient walls feels like travelling back in time. Did I mention Montenegro has the most romantic coastal towns, like Perast and Rose?
🍷 Local cuisine: the fresh seafood, hearty stews, local wines… Montenegrin cuisine will surprise you

πŸͺ‚ Adventure opportunities: from rafting on the Tara River to paragliding above the Bay of Kotor, there's something for everyone.

Welcome to Kotor and its purr-fect locals πŸˆπŸˆβ€β¬›

Kotor has hundreds of stray cats, which are generally looked after and adored by locals and visitors alike . You can spot bowls of food and water left by shop owners and restaurant staff on the streets, but… they are still way too many to look after them all πŸ˜•

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ So, where do all these cats come from?
It's reported that in 1918, the Slav sailors would bring their ships ⛡️ into The Bay of Kotor, and with that their cats. Because the ships would bring in cats from all over the world, the feline population of Kotor is as extensive as it is multicultural 🌍

Montenegrin people also hold the belief that cats saved the town of Kotor! πŸ±πŸ‘‘
Since it is located between sea and mountains, there were lots of rats and snakes, and the cats were necessary to protect the town from infestations. Hence, cats have become a symbol of good luck πŸ€ for Montenegro.

πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Curiosities:

✨ You can also find cats in other historic towns, such as Budva and Perast
✨ Some visiting tourists set up Charity Kotor Kitties in 2018, to sterilise cats
✨ There's a gift shop, Cats of Kotor, selling only cat souvenirs πŸ‘€
✨ And… there's also a Cat Museum πŸ˜…
✨ I am allergic to cats but I couldn't resist petting them 🫣

One of the most interesting places you can visit in Montenegro πŸ’«

Carved into the face of a cliff, the white Ostrog Orthodox Monastery can be seen from kilometres away, contrasting with the greys and oranges of the natural rock ⛰️
This monastery is also associated with many miracles - over the years, many sick or injured visitors would come and said to be healed in this place, even in modern times πŸ‘€
Every year, tens of thousands of people make a pilgrimage to Ostrog Monastery β›ͺ️

HOW TO VISIT
πŸ‘‰πŸΌ The entrance is free, but tourists often skip this place because it's not easy to reach without a car, and also far from the famous Bay of Kotor.
Nevertheless, if you stay in Montenegro for a week or longer, my advice is to rent a car and explore more of this beautiful country πŸ’›

✨ The perfect trip planning:
β€’ After exploring the Bay of Kotor, rent a car and drive north to Ostrog Monastery (2h).
β€’ Spend a night at Hotel Sokoline @hotelsokoline for the most breathtaking hotel views you'll experience πŸ₯Ή, and continue heading north the next day to the Durmitor National Park.
β€’ Visit the famous Black Lake 🏞️ and/or go on a hike, and make your way down to the bay again.

his was the most beautiful and impressive sunset I have ever seen (and beating sunset at Pico do Arieiro in Madeira is not easy πŸ₯Ή).

Here you'll find privileged views over the entire Bay of Kotor and the coastline, and you can visit at any time of the day, although I recommend to watch the sunset πŸŒ…
We were driving from the north of Montenegro and we thought we were gonna miss the sunset because it was already very late, and I cannot tell you how excited and shocked and mesmerised we were when we got there and were treated with this breathtaking spectacle.
πŸ“Horizont Bar

The bar itself is only open during high season, but you can still access the terrace viewpoint year-round. I've heard drinks 🍹there are quite expensive tho!
Be careful on the way there and back, as the road is narrow, the corners are tight, and the local drivers are reckless πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«
There are only about 5 parking πŸ…ΏοΈ spots for cars, so make sure to arrive early enough during high season!
Last but not least, enjoy the wonderful panoramic views while driving down the Kotor Serpentine πŸš—

I knew Montenegro was beautiful, but I wasn't prepared for how much I would fall in love with this country πŸ’Œ

And the thing is… I can show you all the videos and photos of medieval towns like Kotor and Budva, the stunning bay, the mountains, the islands, the national parks, the beaches, the sunset views, BUT
You truly have to visit to feel what is so special about Montenegro. And I know it sounds cliché but it's the vibe and energy in this country that makes it stand out from the rest 🀍

πŸ—ΊοΈ I created a map to pin all my favourite places, as well as others I didn't get a chance to visit but they're still on my list - from hidden gems to hikes, restaurants with a view, sunset spots, beaches, hotels, and more. You can get it from the link in my bio πŸ₯°

And here is a list of my favourite experiences πŸ‘‡πŸΌ for you to save as a bucket list for when you visit!
- watching sunset from the Horizont Bar
- doing a boat πŸ›Ά tour to Our Lady of the Rocks
- having a glass of wine 🍷 at Perast promenade
- being the only person in Kotor on a Sunday morning 🐈
- having a delicious meal by the Black Lake
- witnessing the uniqueness of Skadar landscapes
- wandering through the ghost town of Rose 🌹
- watching sunset from St. Sava Church
- staying at the hotel with the best views I have ever seen at Hotel Sokoline
- admiring a monastery β›ͺ️ carved in a mountain almost 1000m high

πŸ—“οΈ I recommend visiting May-June or in September to have good weather and still avoid (some) crowds
Is Montenegro already on your list? 🀭
