Tivat Gets Four New Flight Routes: EasyJet Expands European Network

New routes from Tivat have been agreed to Edinburgh, Birmingham, Amsterdam, and Basel.

Starting next summer's tourist season, Montenegro will be connected with four additional European cities. British airline easyJet announced today the introduction of new routes from Tivat to Edinburgh, Birmingham, Amsterdam, and Basel.

Special attention is focused on the route between Tivat and Edinburgh, which was finalized following two years of negotiations. According to an announcement from Airports of Montenegro, easyJet flights on this route will operate twice weekly from late March to late October 2027, covering the pre-season, peak summer season, and post-season.

The new route will connect the Montenegrin coast directly with Scotland's capital city, while additional routes to Birmingham, Amsterdam, and Basel will open new travel opportunities for passengers from the UK, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.'

Airports of Montenegro noted that while these four destinations are not entirely new to Tivat Airport, they represent brand-new routes within easyJet's network. During the summer season, the British carrier already connects Tivat with London, Berlin, Geneva, Manchester, and Bristol.

News of the new routes arrives as preparations gather momentum for the upcoming tourist season, alongside calls to strengthen Montenegro's direct flight connections with key European markets.

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić emphasized that the new routes further integrate Montenegro with major European capitals, while also announcing upcoming investments in airport infrastructure ahead of the next summer season.

For the tourism industry, direct flights improve accessibility for visitors from further afield and offer a crucial opportunity to extend the travel season beyond peak summer months.

These new easyJet routes will form part of a broader international network connecting Tivat across Europe next summer, significantly boosting overall passenger seat capacity into Montenegro.
