Current flight announcements for the summer season

During the upcoming summer tourist season, according to the announcements of the airlines confirmed so far, the Tivat airport will be connected with at least 19 countries in Europe, the Middle East and its regular year-round and seasonal routes.


Although due to the war in Ukraine and mutual economic measures imposed by Russia and Montenegro, this year there will be no flights from two of the three most important markets when it comes to Tivat airport - Russia and Ukraine, which will be partially compensated by the introduction additional flights and destinations primarily to Northern and Western Europe, but also to new markets such as Saudi Arabia. Namely, the arrival of Saudi low-budget airline Flynas at Tivat airport is the biggest news this season, because the planes of that carrier will fly three times a week on the Riyadh-Tivat line from June 1, until September 30.



In addition to Flynas, a novelty at Tivat Airport this season will be the Austrian national airline Austrian Airlines, which will fly from Vienna to the Montenegrin coastal city.

The traffic with Tivat has already started with the Bulgarian company European Air Charter, which flies from here to Dusseldorf and Leipzig in Germany, as well as the British low-cost carrier EasyJet, which operates to Berlin, Manchester and London.



The national airline of Sweden, Denmark and Norway, SAS Scandinavian Arlines, will fly from Tivat to Oslo and Stockholm this summer, while the French low-cost carrier Transavia will renew its seasonal route to Paris. From May, the German national airline Lufthansa will fly to Tivat from Frankfurt and Munich, while the seasonal Baku-Tivat route, on which the Azerbaijani national airline Azerbaijan Airlines operates, will be renewed in the summer. Norwegian low-cost carrier Norwegian Air Shuttle Tivat will connect with Oslo and Helsinki this season, while Flydubai from the United Arab Emirates will fly to Dubai and Israeli Israir to Tel Aviv.


Latvian charter company SmartLynxs will fly seasonally to Riga in Latvia and Tallinn in Estonia, while German low-cost carrier Eurowings will operate on the Zurich-Tivat route.

The Luxembourg national airline Luxair will also connect Tivat with Luxembourg on regular flights, while this summer, after a break from the year caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the Dutch charter and leisure carrier TUI Nederland is expected to reappear on the runway next to the Gulf of Tivat. .

It remains to be seen whether the Romanian national airline Tarom will also fly to Tivat, because earlier one of the major Romanian tour operators announced the introduction of a seasonal tourist air bridge from three cities in Romania with Tivat.

The desire to establish daily regular traffic on the Istanbul-Tivat route was also expressed by the Turkish national airline Turkish Airlines, but it remains to be seen whether the Montenegrin authorities will allow it, because it opposes it, citing the bilateral agreement on air transport. Air Montenegro which already has its own regular line between these two cities.

In addition to regular year-round flights to Belgrade and Istanbul, Air Montenegro will introduce seasonal flights from Tivat to Banja Luka, Ljubljana and Prague during the summer.
