British low-cost airline easyJet is connecting Tivat with six destinations this year, including London and Berlin.
British low-cost carrier easyJet will link Tivat Airport with six European destinations during the upcoming tourist season. The destinations include London Luton, London Gatwick, Berlin, Manchester, Bristol, and Geneva. This significant announcement was made following a meeting between easyJet's management, Montenegro's Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, and the Executive Director of Airports of Montenegro, Roko Tolić, held in Podgorica.
One of the main strategic goals of this collaboration is to extend the duration of the tourist season. easyJet plans to operate flights to Tivat over seven months, starting from early spring until the end of October, marking a significant expansion beyond the traditional three-month season.
Roko Tolić, Executive Director of Airports of Montenegro, revealed that easyJet increased its passenger numbers from 71,000 in 2023 to over 132,000 in 2024. Additionally, for the six routes that will be operational this year, easyJet is offering nearly 200,000 seats.
"A growth of about 200% after the pandemic confirms the importance of this carrier for our country. They are also ready to discuss the introduction of new destinations," Tolić stated.
Tickets for flights from Tivat to the mentioned destinations are already available on easyJet's official website. The new route network is expected to further strengthen Montenegro's position as an attractive tourist destination.
